The Need for a Supply Chain Tool

Many organizations today have implemented sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) standards to adopt a more responsible and sustainable approach to business and operations. Doing so helps to also protect and enhance their brand’s reputation, which is one of their most important assets.

For example, in 2013, Wilmar was the first in the industry to adopt a No Deforestation, No Peat, and No Exploitation (NDPE) policy applicable to Wilmar’s own operations as well as its entire supply chain.

To achieve its objectives around effective engagement and management of suppliers within its extended supply chain, Wilmar selected the Enablon Connect supplier portal to better interact with supplying palm oil mills and their own plantations.
