Do you care about sustainability and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals?
Do you want to share your thoughts about what sustainability means to you?
If you answered “yes” to both questions, we have good news.
A Global Survey on Sustainability and the SDGs is available for you to answer. The Global Survey targets private individuals and representatives in politics, business, academia, the media and civil society across the world. The survey aims to:
- Define sustainability priorities for each country.
- Establish the status on understanding of sustainability and knowledge of the SDGs.
- Evaluate the performance of politics, the economic sector, academia and civil society in each country.
The project is financed by the German Government’s Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. Planning and implementation is carried out by the consultancy Schlange & Co. (S&C), based in Hamburg, and Yale University’s Center for Business and the Environment.
What are the SDGs?
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 global goals established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 for the year 2030. There are 169 targets for the 17 goals. Each target has one, two or three indicators used to measure progress. In total, there are 232 approved indicators. The 17 SDGs are shown below:
