Enablon’s Cap & Trade Management system helps companies make the leap from footprint to carbon compliance and strategy by providing valuable and actionable insight into an enterprise’s carbon exposure, including carbon allowances, credits and their respective benefits and costs. The system supports the following cap and trade regulations:
- European Union Emissions Trading Scheme: Largest multi-national cap and trade scheme in the world.
- Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC EES) : One of the most mature national cap and trade schemes in the world that covers the entirety of the United Kingdom. Any organization that has consumed more than 6,000 MWh during 2008 is qualified to participate in the scheme.
- Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI): NE USA/Eastern Canada regulations covering power plants with 25,000 MWh or more of generating capacity.
- Western Climate Initiative: includes partners from USA and Canada as well as observers from USA, Canada and Mexico. The goal is to reduce 2005 emissions by 15 percent by the year 2020.
- Midwestern Greenhouse Gas Reduction Accord: Developing market-based system in Midwestern states.
